Victoria Educational Organisation

Since 1965, Victoria Educational Organisation (VEO) has provided highest quality early childhood education in Hong Kong. VEO has eight nursery and kindergarten campuses, and two campuses that offer programs for infants and toddlers (Victoria Playpark ).

Most of our kindergarten campuses are authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools that offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), and our latest campus in Ocean Pride is pending IB authorisation. VEO follows a unique maker-centered learning curriculum that motivates students to becoming knowledgeable, principled and open-minded thinkers through their own inquiry-based learning journey.

A leader in trilingual education, VEO employs a one-teacher-one-language approach to trilingual (Putonghua, Cantonese and English) immersion in the classroom. VEO pioneered the application of Columbia University’s Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, a language-rich framework aimed at developing strong biliteracy skills through inquiry-based learning. VEO encourages its students to develop leadership from a young age, through in-class activities, participating in Road Safety Patrol and Scouts groups, and taking agency of their learning through seminal events like the STEAMFest, which is set to showcase the works of K3 students.

Creativity colours every aspect of the VEO experience. With the support of CTFEG, VEO is proud to have pioneered the research initiative, “Agency by Design: Early Childhood in the Making,” with Project Zero at HGSE. This maker-centered learning programme enables young students to create their own potential and take ownership of their knowledge within and beyond the STEAM disciplines.

VEO believes in the importance of serving the community and seeks every opportunity to instill this value in its students by collaborating on charitable outreach projects, such as projects with Po Leung Kuk, the “One Heart, One Mask” charity initiative, during the pandemic where VEO collected new masks and sanitizing products for underprivileged families in Hong Kong, and other projects in support of UNICEF.

DSC International School

DSC International School (DSC) has been providing a highly integrated and comprehensive early, primary and secondary education for over 30 years. One of Hong Kong’s leading private international schools, DSC offers a unique Canadian international education experience on a direct pathway to the world’s top universities.  DSC's strengths lie in an inclusive multicultural environment and a strong focus on STEAM education.

Meeting the most rigorous academic standards, DSC students lead not only in the classroom, but in international competitions both in and outside of Hong Kong – with achievements in the Asian Youth Social Entrepreneurship Association (AYSEA) Business Case Competition, the Harvard Book Prize, Harvard Model United Nations, University of Waterloo Math Competitions, and more.

DSC’s fully technology-integrated schools act as an interactive canvas for students to work creatively to tackle real-world challenges. With top-of-the-line EduTech applications at their fingertips, students are empowered to become inventors, creators, innovators and designers in almost every teachable subject. DSC is also one of a few schools in Hong Kong that builds into its mathematics program with topics like Financial Literacy, Coding, and Socio-emotional Learning Skills. These subjects help students to develop crucial life skills that are beneficial for their lifelong learning.

Service is an important part of the DSC experience. To graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, all DSC students are required to complete 40 hours of community service, the purpose of which is twofold: to reinforce a sense of civic responsibility and to serve the community. All DSC students also take part in an Experiential Learning Week, during which they serve different communities around the world – i.e. building houses in rural Thailand, cooking and teaching in Vietnam and cleaning beaches in Fiji.
